Our journey
Built before the pandemic. Reimagined for Africa.
Tomorrowland is not beginning with an idea alone. It is building from operating experience, physical assets, commercial relationships and lessons earned through execution.
2016Capital committed in one founding round
Tomorrowland began with approximately USD 225,000 in committed capital: USD 150,000 in bank financing and approximately USD 75,000 from private investors. The full capital mobilisation took place in 2016—not over several years.
2016–2020Three active years of commercial execution
That initial capital was converted into operating capacity, physical assets, supplier relationships and paying assignments. During its first three active operating years, Tomorrowland generated approximately USD 1 million in commercial turnover.
2020COVID interrupted the operating model
The pandemic disrupted an events-led business at the point of proven commercial traction. Tomorrowland preserved its land, infrastructure, equipment and institutional relationships rather than treating the interruption as the end of the organisation.
2026 onwardReimagined for Africa
The cooperative is now being recapitalised around regenerative agriculture, cooperative development, project preparation, knowledge exchange and Pan-African partnerships—building from a real operating history rather than starting from zero.
